Yes, we all know the song. Yet sitting there makes life look easy and friendly. Armed with just a Zoom H6 and my camera, a few days ago I was sitting on the docks. Sitting in the evening sun was very nice, probably the last time that will happen this year here in Halifax.
As you can see, from the picture, I was not alone sitting there.
Then I heard the sound coming from a floating dock below my feet. So I took the Zoom H6 out of my bag and placed it on the ledge together with my feet. Careful not to push it over the edge, I started recording.
This was the sound that came out of that:
Listening to it now, I think I could have spent a lot more time out there, just dreaming away. It was just that the evening sun had crept behind the horizon and evening coolness was cooler than I was dressed for.
