Sound is all around us. Everybody with a working set of ears knows that. But have we ever LISTENED to all those sounds? There are places where you'd expect everything to be as quiet as a mouse. Countryside cemeteries come to mind.

Somewhere in my area, there is a tiny cemetery that is nice and quiet. Quiet? Not so much, if you care to listen. The residents are not making the sounds, even if Halloween is just around the corner.
You can see from the bright green colours that the time of making this recording is somewhere in early spring. At least here in Nova Scotia.
At first, after stopping the car, the silence is deafening. Then the bigger sound starts to "show", the roar of the river a few hundred yards away. Then come the smaller and the tiny sounds.
Here is the mix for all of those. I decided to not filter out the sound of the river, it was part of the soundscape.
I hope you can hear this too, as today's soundscape is rather loud and all around us.
Until next time...
